Today, the Entertainment Software Association issued a statement from ESA President & CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis on the Senate’s confirmation Howard Lutnick to head the Department of Commerce:
“The Entertainment Software Association and the U.S. video game industry congratulate Howard Lutnick on his confirmation to serve as secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce. ESA looks forward to working with Lutnick on policies that will continue to create favorable economic conditions to foster innovation within the video game industry that creates hundreds of thousands of jobs for Americans and spurred $58.7 billion in consumer spending last year.”
