Position Title: Research Intern, Communications & Public Affairs
Reporting To: Senior Director, Industry Affairs
Location: Washington, D.C.
Position Summary:
The intern will support the research functions of the Communication and Public Affairs (CP&A) team in a variety of areas vital to the video game industry including academic research review and collation, deployment of economic impact data, and various consumer-facing projects such as surveys and other quantitative data.
Duties of the intern include using academic search tools to help keep the association informed about the latest psychological and social research on video games, maintain ESA’s database of university video game programs and esports teams, and work with the CP&A team to develop research materials for surveys and other reports.
Qualified candidates must be detailed-oriented, have familiarity with academic libraries and catalogs, and have the ability to work in a fun, deadline-driven environment. Ideal candidates will have familiarity with developing research methods.
This position pays $17.50/hour. The Summer Internship Program will commence for 8 weeks from June 3rd – July 31st. ESA interns are required to be in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
