Position Title: Intern, Communications & Public Affairs
Reporting To: Director, Communications & Public Affairs
Location: Washington, D.C.
Position Summary:
Communications and Public Affairs (C&PA) Intern will support the C&PA team on a variety of projects including research, content development, media monitoring, data entry, events support and coordination, and social media.
Duties of the C&PA Intern include monitoring new and social media for key industry issues, conducting online research to support ESA’s research products and advocacy assets, support in-person events, and assist the team with social media and online community management and publishing.
Qualified candidates will have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable using social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Ideal candidates can work in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously meeting hard deadlines.
This position pays $17.50/hour. The Summer Internship Program will commence for 8 weeks from June 3rd – July 31st. ESA interns are required to be in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
