The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) today announced its support for the upcoming 2021 Green Games Summit, scheduled to run virtually October 20 – 21, 2021. Timed to precede the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), each day contains over three hours of speakers, showcases, panels and networking opportunities.
The summit brings the international games sector together for the first time to share knowledge and discuss and shape the industry’s response to climate challenges and sustainability. It is being delivered by Ukie, in collaboration with Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE) and the United Nations Environment Program’s Playing for the Planet Alliance. The event is sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The summit will bring together the international video game industry to:
- Hear the latest thinking and join the debate on the role the wider games sector can play in tackling the climate crisis
- Find out how you and the games business you work for can become more environmentally sustainable
- Learn from other games businesses about the latest innovative activities, activations and initiatives that are inspiring change around the world
