The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) served as an MVP sponsor for the 2021 Congressional Football Game, building connections between attendees and the video game industry. The 12th biennial game, held at Washington, D.C.’s Audi Field, featured members of Congress and former NFL players facing off against the U.S. Capitol Police to benefit three nonprofit organizations: the Capitol Police Memorial Fund, Our Military Kids and A Advantage 4 Kids.
To help kick off the event, the ESA organized an informal VIP tournament featuring EA’s Madden NFL 22 at Bullfeathers On The Hill on Monday, November 1, 2021. Over 20 members of Congress attended and joined an enthusiastic crowd for an evening of games, refreshments and conversation. Members of Congress both competed in Madden and also cheered on their colleagues who played.
Then on game day, Wednesday, November 3, 2021, the ESA hosted a special video game lounge, where members of Congress and their families gathered to watch the football game together and play EA’s Madden NFL 22.
