Activision observes a franchise-wide Code of Conduct for Call of Duty focused on three core pillars: treat everyone with respect, compete with integrity, and stay vigilant. This new policy is bolstered by an increase in reporting and enforcement to protect a fair, fun, and safe gameplay experience. Players are required to acknowledge the Call of Duty Code of Conduct in order to play multiplayer modes. Further, the Call of Duty Security and Enforcement Policy clearly states that any player who is found to use aggressive, offensive, derogatory, or culturally charged language will be penalized. Cyber-bullying and other forms of harassment are classified as extreme offenses and result in the harshest penalties.

Blizzard’s in-game Code of Conduct includes specific policies for communication (e.g. appropriate language is required), naming (e.g. offensive names are barred), cheating (zero tolerance), and behavior (nothing that detracts from others’ experience). When players first log in to World of Warcraft after the 9.2.5 content update goes live, they will be greeted by a new Social Contract that outlines both positive and unacceptable behavior and must be read and accepted before a player can continue into the world of Azeroth.

King’s Code of Conduct bars harassment, hate speech, and objectionable communication, behavior that infringes on others’ privacy, and more.
