On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, the Entertainment Software Association President and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis moderated a GamesBeat Summit Next panel focusing on how video games are achieving social impact. Jessica Lindl, Unity Vice President of Social Impact, and David Washington, HiDef Founder and Chief Impact Officer, spoke with Pierre-Louis about how game developers are increasingly using themes that address social issues in their games, while employers in the industry are placing a greater emphasis on creating inclusive games and workplace environments.

Lindl added that “when we think of our broad social impact work, it starts with education, access and economic opportunity.”
